Job Summary
Join our growing team as a Fire Extinguisher Suppression Technician, and fire extinguisher service technician through expert installation, maintenance, and inspection of kitchen hood fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers. Experience is preferred but we will train the right people. Flexible schedules are available as some work is performed after normal hours. Pay to be determined by experience with opportunity for fast growth.
Duties
- Install, inspect, test, and service fire extinguisher suppression systems across various facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and CAD drawings to accurately execute system layouts and modifications
- Conduct construction inspections related to fire suppression system installation projects, verifying adherence to plans and codes
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform system assembly, adjustments, and repairs efficiently
- Collaborate with construction teams and field service crews to coordinate system installations and upgrades in new or existing structures
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, repairs, system modifications, and compliance records for each project or service call
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire suppression systems (on the job training is available).
- Strong understanding of system design principles for fire sprinkler fitting and suppression technology
- Knowledge of construction inspection processes specific to fire suppression installations
- Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, valves, sensors, alarms, and low voltage electrical components (on the job training available)
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, and team members during installation or service projects
