Guided by Senior Management, Florida Asphalt & Concrete has a team that is equipped to provide efficient budget and timeline solutions for contracts ranging upward of $20 million dollars in size. FAC is a member of the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Florida Asphalt & Concrete is currently looking for dedicated and hard-working individuals with 5 or more years of experience to join our team as a Concrete Foreman for a full-time, year-round position. We provide a fun work atmosphere, with a team-oriented, positive attitude.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead crew and participate in all phases of construction, coordinate and schedule crew for projects daily.
- Read specifications, such as blueprint to determine construction requirement and plan procedures.
- Review project details to ensure that proper materials, tools and equipment are brought to each job.
- Locate, measure and mark site locations and/or placement of structures, equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
- Report daily information such as personnel, production, and operational data.
- Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction, using hand tools and/or other equipment.
- Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify specification are being met.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Follow applicable safety guidelines.
- Load materials, tools, and equipment on the company truck for each job.
- Travel to and from office and job sites.
- Position required long periods of stooping bending, standing and lifting.
- Valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle, must have clean driving record.
- Able to operate a skid steer, mini excavator and dump truck.
- Operate Concrete saw, finisher, bull float, trowel, etc.
- Able to work independently under written direction.
- Able to pour multiple types of curb.
- Able to work under active road scenarios.
- Versed in Maintenance of traffic operations.
