Senior Staff Advocate
Beaverbrook STEP Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Advocate with strong leadership skills to accept a dynamic role within its residential division. The candidate will be responsible for the implementation of Individual Service Plans, documentation of individual’s progress, continuous evaluation of the appropriateness of the ISP, specific operational responsibilities of the household and ensuring continuous supervision of staff and quality care during shift hours. The senior staff advocate will provide direct individual care approximately 75% of the time while on shift, with the remaining 25% designated for administrative duties and staff advocate shift supervision.
Qualifications:
- Proven exemplary direct support skills
- Familiarity with PBS concepts and implementation
- Working knowledge of DDS regulations and residential programming experience
- Experience working with behaviorally involved individuals
- Minimum 5 years direct support professional experience
