Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales and tips
- Upsell menu items, including wine, cocktails, and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation and handling when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and food menus to answer guest questions confidently
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring satisfaction from start to finish
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience with fine dining environments or upscale restaurants is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing transactions and splitting checks
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances the guest experience
- Experience in beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and upselling techniques
