2nd Shift Machine Operator / Secondary Machine Operator

Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay: $18.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
About the Role
Tubular Steel USA, a steel tubing manufacturer in Centerville, TN, is hiring a Machine Operator / Secondary Machine Operator for 2nd shift. This role supports production by operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment to produce steel tubing that meets quality and safety standards. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
Please Note: New hires will train on 1st shift for a minimum of 2 weeks before moving to their regular 2nd shift schedule. Candidates should be available and willing to work 1st shift hours during this initial training period.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor primary or secondary machining equipment during production runs
- Inspect in-process and finished product for conformance to quality specifications
- Perform routine machine adjustments and troubleshooting
- Follow all safety protocols, including required PPE for the work area
- Accurately complete production documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate equipment issues or quality concerns to shift lead promptly
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred; will train motivated candidates
- Ability to read a tape measure and work orders
- Ability to stand, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for a full shift
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery
- Reliable attendance and ability to work 2nd shift hours consistently
- Available for initial 1st shift training period (minimum 2 weeks)
- Team-oriented with strong attention to detail
