Position Summary
The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for building, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining progressive stamping dies used in high-volume metal stamping operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting production, improving tooling performance, reducing downtime, and ensuring the highest quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain progressive stamping dies.
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize die performance.
- Analyze blueprints, engineering drawings, tooling designs, and specifications.
- Machine, fit, assemble, and adjust precision tooling components.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support production by resolving die-related issues quickly and efficiently.
- Modify tooling to improve quality, efficiency, and die life.
- Operate manual mills, engine lathes, surface grinders, EDM wire machines, and machining centers.
- Inspect tooling using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
- Assist with new die builds, tryouts, and production launches.
- Maintain tooling documentation and preventative maintenance records.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve manufacturing performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 4 years of Tool & Die experience within a metal stamping environment.
- Hands-on Progressive Die Stamping experience is required.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience operating mills, lathes, grinders, EDM equipment, and machining centers.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.

Critical Requirement
Progressive Die Stamping experience is required. Candidates without hands-on experience building, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining progressive dies will not be considered.
Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour
