Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing exceptional guest service from start to finish
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to safety and quality standards
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale bars
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor and the ability to build guest rapport quickly
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols required for responsible alcohol service
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for the food industry is essential
