Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive and industrial equipment repair. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Full benefits including tool allowance.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on vehicles, including transmissions, brakes, suspensions.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Operate various types of machinery including forklift and tractor-trailer units safely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs needed and maintenance performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in the assembly of new equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with dealership or service technician background preferred.
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems including diesel engine repair, air brakes, shocks & struts, alignment, hydraulics, and tire service.
- Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus; soldering skills are desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Experience with industrial equipment repair is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
