Overview
Ground Transport, Inc is a locally owned school bus transportation company that has been operating in Hawaii for over 35 years. We are seeking an experienced full-time Diesel Mechanic for our Maui Maintenance Facility located in Pulehunui Industrial Park – Pu’unene .
Responsibilities and Expectations:
· Ability to perform repairs on Cummins Diesel Engines, Ford Gas Engines.
· Ability to troubleshoot electrical & fuel systems.
· Ability to work on air/hydraulic brake systems.
· Ability to perform thorough and accurate Preventative Maintenance Services.
· Ability to diagnose mechanical defects and perform repairs.
· Perform road service-calls and repairs on Company equipment as required.
· Ability to read and understand diagnostic codes and schematics.
· Accurately document repairs and parts on work orders.
· Must be able to work a flexible work schedule
Requirements:
· Minimum 4 years’ experience as a heavy equipment Diesel Mechanic.
· Valid Commercial Driver’s license or the ability to get one within 90 days of hire (assisted by company).
· Provide own tools.

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
