Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, contributing your carpentry skills and hands-on labor experience to build, repair, and restore structures. Responsibilities
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation.
- Operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble wood construction materials.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks, including rebar installation, concrete forming, masonry work, roofing, siding, and metal stud framing.
- Assist with restoration projects such as water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, mold remediation, and general renovation tasks.
- Support site preparation activities like demolition, material fabrication, scaffolding setup, and site cleanup to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols related to power tool use, power tool safety standards, construction site safety procedures, and proper handling of materials such as wood and metal.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on carpentry or related trades such as framing or remodeling.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking, framing, cabinetry, roofing, siding, and other carpentry tasks.
- Knowledge of wood construction materials including lumber types, plywoods, drywall components, and finishing materials like caulking and paint.
- Experience working on residential or commercial construction sites with an understanding of safety standards including power tool safety.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating with team members.
