Position Summary
Empresas PPC Inc. is recruiting an Instructor in Agroecology & Sustainable Agriculture to deliver Individual Training Account (ITA) courses for ALDL Conexión Laboral. The instructor will prepare adult participants with the technical and practical skills needed for employment or entrepreneurship in sustainable agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver classroom, laboratory, field, or hybrid instruction.
· Teach agroecology principles, soil conservation, organic production, integrated pest management, crop planning, irrigation, composting, food safety, and sustainable farming practices.
· Develop lesson plans, practical exercises, demonstrations, and assessments.
· Evaluate student progress and maintain attendance and performance records.
· Promote workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
· Ensure compliance with ALDL and ITA program requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agroecology, Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
· Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in agriculture or sustainable farming.
· Experience teaching, training, or mentoring adults preferred.
· Knowledge of modern agricultural technologies and sustainable production systems.
· Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master's degree in a related discipline.
· Experience with USDA, NRCS, Extension Service, or workforce development programs.
· Bilingual (Spanish/English).
