Barboursville Vineyards is seeking a Full-Time Wine Associate for our Discovery Tasting Room.
Key Responsibilities
· Hosting Tastings: Guiding and educating guests, explaining the flavor profiles, and sharing the unique story of Barboursville Vineyards.
Promoting and selling bottles and merchandise
· Hospitality: Creating an engaging, educational, and memorable experience for visitors
· Operations & Upkeep: Emailing, answering phone, communicate and collaborate with all departments, use point of sale program, handle money, shipping, taking inventory, stocking inventory, bussing tables, washing glassware, and maintaining the cleanliness of the tasting room and outside areas.
Ideal Qualifications
· Experience: 3 years previous background in the food, beverage, restaurant and hospitality industry.
· Knowledge: An enthusiasm for wine. Certifications (like WSET) are not required but are a great bonus.
· Soft Skills: Strong communication, a warm and outgoing personality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old, work weekends & holidays, able to stand for extended periods, possess valid driver's license and lift heavy items.
