Salary Range: TBD based on experience ($21.00 and up) plus shift premium
Conducts all the operations necessary to ensure the operational readiness and reliability of equipment.

Carries out maintenance work (preventive and corrective), in line with the schedule and processes defined by supervisor, respecting safety rules and working conditions,

Makes sure that equipment is well maintained and available for the production activity,
-
Enters information on repairs conducted in the computer system and updates machine files,
-
Suggests improvements to resources in order to optimise: safety conditions, quality and production costs, Product Design and Industrial Production Process

May be involved in the acceptance phase of new equipment or take part in development, set up and install
Skills & Qualifications Required:
-
High School Diploma or GED required; Additional 2 year Technical College or Training preferred; 3+ years working in an industrial setting preferred
-
Valid Driver's License; ability to drive Powered Industrial Equipment
-
Ability to read Blue Prints and Schematics
-
Demonstrated Experience repairing Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems, and Mechanical Drives

Ability to diagnose and repair basic electrical / wiring; AC/DC Circuits
-
Demonstrated Ability to lay down a functional weld, fabrication/build ability a plus
-
Knowledge of industrial safety requirements, such as machine guarding, lock out, hot work, confined space, fall protection, etc.

AKWEL is a stable, indoor/year round employer in a modern, industrial plant that provides all basic tools and equipment. Willing to train and develop individual with solid basic skills and eagerness to learn about large scale rubber mixing technology, extrusion and injection equipment, industrial boilers, robotics, PLC's, vision systems and all the auxiliary equipment in between. Must be willing to support other shifts, if needed, and occasional weekends to support production or projects as necessary.
