GM Insurance Services is a growing independent insurance agency looking for a licensed, customer-focused Personal Auto Sales & Retention Agent to join our team remotely from anywhere in Texas. This role is centered on keeping our policyholders covered and our book strong — handling auto renewals, uprate rewrites, and cancellation rewrites.

What you'll do
- Manage personal auto policy renewals — review coverage, re-rate, and retain customers ahead of expiration
- Handle uprate rewrites — re-shop and rewrite policies when carriers increase premiums, keeping clients covered at the best available rate
- Process cancellation rewrites — re-engage policies in cancellation status and rewrite to prevent lapses
- Quote and present coverage options, explain pricing changes, and close the rewrite or renewal
- Document all activity accurately in our management system and keep customer records current
- Provide friendly, responsive service that builds trust and protects retention
What we're looking for
- Active P&C insurance license required at hire (this is non-negotiable for this role)
- Must reside in Texas with a reliable home-office setup (quiet space, internet, desktop computer with dual monitors)
- Experience in personal lines auto insurance — renewals, rewrites, re-rating, or retention strongly preferred
- Comfortable on the phone and skilled at retaining customers through rate changes
- Organized, self-directed, and dependable in a remote environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Familiarity with HawkSoft and/or AgencyZoom a plus (we'll train)
Schedule
9 AM–6 PM Pacific (11 AM–8 PM Central), Monday–Friday.
