Job Summary
ICaPath is seeking a motivated Research Technician to support the development of its diagnostics platform. The successful candidate will process human biospecimens, perform high-dimensional spectral flow cytometry, support proteomic workflows, and assist with the development and validation of diagnostic assays. This is a hands-on laboratory position that will work closely with the Lead Scientist in a fast-paced biotechnology environment
Responsibilities
· Process human biospecimens (whole blood, PBMCs, plasma, serum, and other clinical specimens) for flow cytometry and proteomic analyses according to standard operating procedures.
· Refining and developing SOP’s for improved workflows on each assay.
· Prepare samples for high-dimensional flow cytometry, including antibody staining, titrations, instrument setup, data acquisition, and quality control.
· Analyze and interpret flow cytometry data using FlowJo.
· Assist with SomaLogic proteomic workflows, including sample preparation and documentation (training provided).
· Perform routine laboratory assays according to established protocols.
· Maintain accurate and organized laboratory records at the GMP level.
· Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and quality control of flow cytometers and other laboratory equipment.
· Monitor laboratory inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
· Follow laboratory safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
Minimum Qualifications
· Energetic and can-do attitude toward work projects
· Excellence in work product and team level approach.
· Bachelor’s degree in biology, immunology, or a related scientific field.
· Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, including sample preparation and antibody staining.
· Experience processing human biological specimens (e.g. whole blood, PBMCs, plasma, or serum).
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· 1–3 years of laboratory experience in an academic, biotechnology, or clinical research laboratory.
· Experience operating, calibrating, and performing routine quality control of flow cytometry instrumentation.
· Experience with FlowJo or similar flow cytometry analysis software.
· Familiarity with proteomic technologies; experience with the SomaLogic platform is a plus but not required.
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
