Bar Manager – Hospitality & Events (Grand Opening)Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager / Lead Bartender-level hospitality professional to lead the grand opening and ongoing operations of The Property Columbus, a high-end hospitality and event venue. This is a hands-on leadership roleresponsible for managing bar staff, building schedules, overseeing inventory, and executing high-quality guest experiences during both daily service and private events.
This role requires prior bar management or lead bartender experience in a high-volume or upscale hospitality environment. The ideal candidate is a confident, polished leader with a valid alcohol service license and ServSafe certification who can help establish a strong, professional bar program from day one.
Qualifications – Bar ManagerRequired
- Valid alcohol service license (state compliant)
- ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- 3+ years experience in high-volume or upscale bar / hospitality environments
- Prior leadership experience (Bar Manager, Lead Bartender, or Shift Lead)
- Strong knowledge of bar operations, guest service, and hospitality standards
- Experience in fast-paced environments including events, private parties, or large group service
- Proven ability to manage staff, schedules, and service execution
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and peak hospitality hours
Preferred
- Experience opening or launching a new bar, restaurant, or hospitality venue
- Experience managing schedules and leading bar teams
- Experience with private events, banquets, or large-scale service operations
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and POS platforms
- Experience developing or executing cocktail and mocktail programs
Responsibilities – Bar Manager
- Lead all bar operations during the grand opening and ongoing service at The Property Columbus
- Manage, schedule, and supervise bartending staff to ensure consistent performance and coverage
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and maintain operational consistency
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to ensure efficiency and profitability
- Execute high-quality guest experiences during daily service and private events
- Coordinate and support private parties, events, and high-volume service nights
- Train and develop bartenders on service standards, hospitality expectations, and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with alcohol service laws, ServSafe standards, and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and high-end bar environment at all times
- Help establish and maintain a strong, professional hospitality culture during launch and growth

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
