We are currently hiring for a weekend caregiver & home assistant to join a long-standing and dedicated team caring for a private handicapped client in her home on the east side of Spartanburg (off Fernwood Glendale Rd).
This is not through an agency and does not involve multiple clients... you’ll be an important part of one client’s home. One-on-one care with no facility stress or rushed schedules.

Core Responsibilities:
- Weekend shifts: Required availability every other Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are looking to hire someone to rotate weekends . You must be available at least every other weekend! Definite potential for weekday hours if it is something you are interested in. We are super flexible and will be happy to work around your availability for the right person!
- Cat care: Our client has four beloved cats and also fosters for a rescue. We currently have a group of foster cats from a bad situation that are now healthy and happy and currently here awaiting adoption. Comfort with all aspects of cat care is essential. This includes brushing, feeding, scooping litter boxes, administering medications when needed, and giving attention and affection. If you do not love cats, this is not the job for you! Just being "ok" with cats is not going to work! Please do not apply if you are not a cat person.
- General caregiving for the client: This includes personal care assistance such as bathing, foot soaks, minor wound care, incontinence care, and various personal care tasks, as well as helping around the house with cleaning, organizing and cooking.
Compensation:
- Starting pay: $16–$19/hour depending on experience
- Weekly pay via payroll company (check)
- This is a long-term opportunity; many of our team members have been here for 7–10+ years.

- Playing with cats
- Scooping and cleaning litter boxes, sweeping & mopping the cat foster room, washing linens and beds
- Putting away grocery deliveries
- Cooking recipes
- Light housework like laundry, dishes, sweeping, vacuuming
- Running errands (pharmacy, grocery store, dropping things off or picking things up)
- Cleaning bird baths, filling bird feeders, and putting out snacks for squirrels
- Feeding the fish in her koi pond and cleaning out the filter
- Helping with projects for local philanthropic causes the client is passionate about
Who We’re Looking For:
- Has caregiving experience (CNA preferred but not required). Must be comfortable with personal care tasks. Must be comfortable with incontinence care.
- Must love and be comfortable with cats and their care
- Self-motivated and able to follow a detailed routine
- Enjoys variety and staying active throughout the day
- Friendly, compassionate, reliable, and respectful of the client and her home
- Capable of being productive while working independently or as part of a small team
- 18+ with reliable transportation. You must have a driver's license.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
