Automotive Sales Manager Perfect Auto Collection – Akron, Ohio
Perfect Auto Collection is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead, coach, and hold our sales team accountable while driving unit sales, front-end gross, lead conversion, and customer experience.
Most of our sales are completed with out-of-state clients, so the right candidate must be strong on the phone, organized with CRM follow-up, and comfortable managing a virtual sales process for luxury, sport, and exotic vehicles.
We are looking for someone energetic, disciplined, process-driven, and capable of managing and growing a high-performance sales team in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve unit sales, gross profit, and closing ratio goals.
- Coach salespeople on phone skills, follow-up, negotiation, CRM usage, appointments, product presentation, and closing.
- Review leads, customer interactions, appointments, pending deals, and unsold prospects daily.
- Ensure all salespeople follow the dealership sales process and properly document activity in the CRM.
- Work deals professionally while protecting front-end gross and dealership profitability.
- Help structure sales plans, daily goals, and accountability standards for the team.
- Review, interview, and help hire new salespeople.
- Monitor team performance, lead response time, closing ratio, appointment activity, showroom performance, and customer follow-up.
- Support inventory presentation, vehicle knowledge, pricing strategy, and proper customer communication.
- Maintain a professional showroom environment and high-level customer experience.
- Work closely with ownership, finance, BDC, marketing, and accounting to improve overall dealership performance.
Qualifications
- Prior automotive Sales Manager, GSM, desk manager, or strong dealership sales leadership experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead a sales team and improve performance.
- Strong understanding of front-end gross, desking, negotiation, lead management, CRM, and dealership sales process.
- Excellent communication, coaching, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to hold people accountable while maintaining professionalism and team culture.
- Comfortable with daily training, role play, performance review, and process enforcement.
- Luxury, highline, performance, or exotic vehicle experience is a plus.
- Experience with CRM systems and dealership software preferred.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus, but not required.
Compensation
This is a commission-based position with a $5,000 monthly draw.
Commissions and bonuses are based on performance, including:
- Units sold
- Front-end gross
- Team closing ratio
- Lead management and follow-up execution
- Appointment activity and showroom performance
- Other dealership KPIs tied to sales process, accountability, and customer experience
This pay plan is designed to reward a Sales Manager who can grow volume, protect gross, improve team performance, and create consistent execution.
Final compensation details, draw terms, commission calculations, payout timing, chargebacks, and bonus eligibility will be outlined in the written pay plan.
