BW Industrial Construction is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman (or strong Lead Journeyman Electrician)
for Industrial Construction projects to supervise electrical installation activities on industrial construction projects. This role leads field crews, maintains a safe jobsite, ensures work meets quality and schedule expectations, and plays a key role in building and developing a reliable electrical team for upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical crews and supporting trades (electricians, laborers, subcontractors).
- Plan and assign daily work to meet project milestones.
- Oversee installation, routing, and termination of industrial electrical systems, conduit, cable tray, equipment, and panels.
- Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and client standards.
- Enforce PPE, safety rules, and site‑specific protocols.
- Inspect work quality, troubleshoot issues, and resolve field problems quickly.
- Communicate progress, manpower needs, and material requirements to Project Managers and Engineers.
- Manage tools, equipment, and electrical materials on site.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (labor hours, materials, progress, safety notes).
Qualifications
- 5+ years industrial electrical construction experience (required).
- 1-2 years leading helpers or apprentices or crews on industrial or heavy commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, conduit installation, terminations, equipment setting, and testing.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one‑lines, schematics, and installation details.
- Experience coordinating with civil, mechanical, and MEP trades.
- Proficiency with BlueBeam or similar tools preferred.
- Texas Journeyman Electrician License or NCCER Electrical certification strongly preferred.
- NCCER Electrical, Journeyman Electrician license, or equivalent trade certification strongly preferred.
- OSHA 10/30 or NFPA 70E training.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willing to travel to job sites, as needed.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening
Engagement Requirements
- Complete all BW and client‑specific onboarding steps, including safety orientation and site access requirements.
- Follow all PPE, safety, and reporting protocols at all times.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and BW team members.
- Work required schedules, including overtime or weekends when needed.
- Support BW leadership in identifying and retaining reliable electrical and multi‑trade crews.
Work Environment
- Industrial construction sites with exposure to weather, noise, and heavy equipment.
- Requires standing, walking, climbing, and PPE use (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toed boots).
Additional Job Information
- Job Type: Full-time
- Schedule: 8- hour shift (5 days per week); OT may be required
- Work Location: Project site.
