Duties
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to foster independence.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support positive behaviors and social skills development.
- Support communication efforts using various methods such as American Sign Language or other augmentative communication tools.
- Facilitate participation in community outings, appointments, and recreational activities to promote social integration.
- Collect and document data related to client progress, behaviors, medication administration, and service delivery to ensure accurate records.
- Provide safe transportation by driving clients to appointments or activities while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, social workers, and behavioral health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral health needs is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with special education principles and home & community care practices enhances your ability to deliver effective support.
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging clients effectively and working collaboratively with team members.
- Experience assisting with medication administration and data collection ensures comprehensive care delivery.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and experience in caregiving or direct support roles will help you succeed in this position.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required for transportation duties.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
