Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products related to lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on plant identification, horticulture practices, and outdoor equipment to enhance customer satisfaction
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cash handling, transactions, and retail math calculations
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with seasonal plants, gardening supplies, and related products
- Process sales transactions accurately while delivering excellent customer service via phone communication or in person
- Support inventory management through stocking, organizing merchandise, and conducting regular stock checks
- Assist customers with e-commerce orders and facilitate seamless online shopping experiences when needed
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of plant identification and horticulture practices to provide expert guidance
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, retail sales, and retail math to handle transactions confidently
- Excellent organizational skills for merchandising and stock management
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Passion for floral design and gardening; enthusiasm for helping customers create beautiful outdoor spaces
