Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure timely service
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships and handle any concerns promptly with professionalism
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Experience with fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is advantageous
- Culinary experience or kitchen support background is beneficial but not required
- OpenTable or reservation system familiarity can enhance guest management capabilities
