Job Summary

Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and overhaul various vehicle systems including engines, powertrains, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct engine repairs, including diesel engine maintenance and automotive engine system troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repair techniques to perform maintenance tasks such as alignments, wheel balancing, and heavy lifting.
- Interpret schematics and vehicle wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently across diverse vehicle makes and models.
- Lead complex repairs on GM vehicles or similar brands, demonstrating advanced knowledge of automotive engine technology and vehicle systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent shop backgrounds; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive engine technology, powertrain components, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and interpreting schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Expertise in ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, diesel engine repair, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver high-quality service.
- Valid technical certifications or ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) credentials are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
