Position Overview:
The Project Laborer supports the Crew Foreman and team in the installation of fencing and landscape/hardscape projects. This role focuses on assisting with daily job site tasks, maintaining productivity, and ensuring work is completed safely and to company quality standards. The Project Laborer plays a key role in keeping projects running efficiently while developing hands-on construction skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support
· Assist with installation of fencing (wood, vinyl, chain link) and landscape/hardscape projects including decks, patios, retaining walls, and irrigation systems
· Perform site preparation tasks such as digging, grading, material staging, and cleanup
· Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as needed
· Follow directions from the Crew Foreman to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
· Support final project cleanup and ensure job sites are left clean and organized
Team Collaboration
· Work closely with the Crew Foreman and team members to maintain steady workflow
· Communicate effectively regarding task progress or any issues encountered
· Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
· Be willing to learn new skills and take on increasing responsibility over time
Safety & Equipment Use
· Follow all company safety policies and procedures on job site
· Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and materials
· Identify and report safety hazards to the Crew Foreman
· Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Quality & Efficiency
· Complete assigned tasks with attention to detail and quality workmanship
· Maintain a strong work ethic and consistent productivity throughout the day
· Assist in meeting project timelines and production goals
· Take pride in delivering high-quality results
Position Requirements:
· Previous construction, landscaping, or general labor experience preferred but not required
· Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
· Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
· Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus
· Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor in outdoor conditions
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
