A growing electrical contractor is seeking an experienced, hands on Safety & Fleet Manager to lead company safety efforts and oversee fleet and equipment operations.
This role will be responsible for building and managing the company Safety Program and Safety Manual, maintaining OSHA compliance across all jobsites, and helping strengthen the company’s overall safety culture. The position will also oversee company vehicles, trailers, and equipment, ensuring maintenance, inspections, service records, and compliance are properly managed and documented.
This position works closely with leadership, project managers, superintendents, and field crews and requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working both in the field and in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company Safety Program and Safety Manual
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits
- Ensure OSHA and company safety compliance across all projects
- Lead or assist with incident and near miss investigations
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, certifications, and training records
- Coordinate employee safety training and onboarding
- Participate in project kickoff meetings and safety planning
- Oversee company vehicles, trailers, and equipment
- Track preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, registrations, and service schedules
- Maintain fleet and equipment records, driver records, and MVR compliance
- Work with vendors and service providers to coordinate repairs and maintenance
- Help improve company systems, organization, and accountability
- Experience working around energized systems, utility infrastructure, outdoor service work, or multi site construction environments preferred
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction safety experience
- OSHA 30 Construction certification required
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
- Experience building company safety programs and manuals
- Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and investigations
- Experience working in active occupied properties or customer facing construction environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- CHST certification
- OSHA 500 Trainer certification highly preferred
- Experience in electrical or construction contracting
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards
- Experience using Samsara or similar fleet management software
- Experience with Apple or Mac devices
Physical & Work Environment
- Regular travel between jobsites and office location
- Indoor and outdoor work in active construction environments
- Ability to walk jobsites, navigate uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Occasional after hours or weekend work as needed

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
