JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Freight Optimization Analyst is responsible for independently identifying, quantifying, and driving transportation cost savings across Ubique's freight network. This role works alongside Ubique's freight payment company on invoice resolution and cost allocation, leads process improvement initiatives, develops and presents business cases to cross-functional leadership, and owns freight performance metrics end to end. The position also owns the implementation and ongoing management of Wilson, Ubique's AI-driven freight optimization agent, serving as the primary internal owner for its rollout, configuration, and performance. This is a senior individual-contributor role: it carries significant autonomy and cross-functional influence, but no direct reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently identify and quantify freight cost-saving opportunities across the transportation network.

Lead transportation process improvement initiatives from analysis through implementation.

Own the implementation, configuration, and ongoing performance management of Wilson, Ubique's AI freight optimization agent.

Influence and collaborate with cross-functional partners across Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, and Transportation to align on savings initiatives and process changes.

Develop and present business cases and operational recommendations to leadership.

Own freight performance metrics and reporting, driving measurable savings without direct responsibility for carrier rate negotiation.

Monitor and troubleshoot Wilson's outputs and recommendations, escalating exceptions and refining configuration as needed.

Partner with Ubique's freight payment company on invoice resolution and freight cost allocation.

Provide Lean Practice coaching and training to support a culture of continuous process improvement.

Partner with Finance and Transportation stakeholders to validate savings and ensure accurate reporting of freight audit and billing discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.

3–5+ years of experience in freight/transportation analytics, supply chain analysis, or a related analytical role.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal day-to-day direction.

Strong analytical and business-case development skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Experience working with or overseeing AI-driven or automated tools is strongly preferred, given ownership of the Wilson implementation.

Strong cross-functional communication and influence skills; comfortable presenting to leadership.

Advanced proficiency in reporting and dashboard tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar).
PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Plan and execute logistics and freight-related projects, such as transportation route optimization or network changes tied to the Wilson rollout.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time, within-budget completion.
RISK MANAGEMENT

Identify potential risks in freight and transportation operations and develop mitigation strategies.

Monitor and track potential risks, such as carrier disruptions or capacity constraints.

Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential risks on freight operations.
