Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level General Laborer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist in producing precision machined parts by operating manufacturing equipment, inspecting finished products, and supporting daily production activities. You will receive on-the-job training while learning to operate CNC machinery, use precision measuring tools, and follow quality and safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who is looking to start a career in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and other shop equipment following work instructions and established procedures.
- Produce quality parts that meet specifications while maintaining production goals.
- Measure and inspect completed parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Monitor tool wear and report when tool changes are needed.
- Complete production, inspection, and process documentation accurately.
- Deburr, wash, count, and prepare parts for final inspection.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including basic machine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
- Report production, quality, or safety concerns.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support efficient production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or machine shop experience is a plus but not required—we will train the right candidate.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC machining processes.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints.
- Basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing environment.
