Our corporate team supports multiple venues nationwide by providing financial, operational, and strategic leadership. We're looking for a Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple entities while partnering with venue leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance.
What You'll Do
As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our venues by supporting month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with month-end deadlines.
- Prepare, review, and audit event profit and loss statements following event settlements.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaid expense amortizations, and account reclassifications.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Process accounts payable, vendor payments, and maintain vendor records, including 1099 compliance.
- Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
- Manage cash receipts, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition activities.
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns.
- Partner with venue General Managers to ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple locations.
- Assist with audits, financial analysis, and special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of Staff Accountant or similar accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with:
- General ledger accounting
- Journal entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end close
- Financial statement preparation
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-location organizations.
- Experience in the entertainment, hospitality, restaurant, venue, or event industries.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms.
- Sales tax and 1099 reporting experience.
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
