Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining safety protocols
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to individual needs
- Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to safeguard patient confidentiality and safety
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with proficiency in dental terminology and equipment
- Knowledge of dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging, and medical terminology for accurate patient assessment
- Familiarity with EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, healthcare infection prevention, and aseptic techniques
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction, education, and team collaboration
- Ability to perform dental assisting duties such as chairside assisting when needed while maintaining a focus on patient care
