Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented, experienced mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric motors, pumps, and related equipment across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical and electrical skills while working with a variety of machinery and tools. The ideal candidate has experience as a mechanic (regardless of industry), possesses a strong work ethic, is eager to learn new skills, and has a passion for repair and workmanship.
Duties
- Leads diagnosing issues with electric motors
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as disassembling, cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, and re-assembling electrical and mechanical components
- Use hand tools and power tools to repair or replace faulty parts
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting to identify problems within motor systems
- Support in heavy lifting and equipment handling to ensure safe and efficient repairs
- Support experienced motor rewinders when needed
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to maintain a secure work environment
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service performed for each job
Qualifications
- Machine or repair shop experience is required, especially with electric motors or heavy equipment repair
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting procedures
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the role through on-the-job training
