Cangelosi Fmaily Dentistry, LLC is seeking a friendlly, compassionate, and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established private practice. We are a sole-practitioner, high-quality dental office committed to providing exceptional care in a welcoming and professional environment. Must maintain a current Louisiana Registered Dental Hygienist license.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately using dental imaging equipment.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status to inform treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques and preventive measures tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems with dental software), ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to safeguard patient and staff health.
- Administering anesthetic when needed
- Manage dental equipment maintenance and sterilization processes to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met.
