We are seeking one full-time CMA or LPN for allergy clinic.
Job description:
Duties:
- Assist physician in performing medical procedures and examinations.
- Prepare patients for exams, take vitals, and document medical histories.
- Perform injections as needed.
- Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and procedures.
- Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, confirming patient appointments, and answering patient inquiries.
- Ensure proper sterilization of medical equipment and maintain clinical safety standards.
- Perform allergy testing, PFTs
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with biologics or specialty medications, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and biologics treatments is a plus.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.
- Proficient in using medical office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Willingness to assist with patient transportation as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical assistant in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Certification
- EMA (Mod Med) experience
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed in a clinical or medical office setting.
- You must be very flexible and float other positions as needed.
This position is 8-5 Monday-Thursday and Friday 8-12. Pay depends on experience. No phone calls please.
