Your Qualifications
To be a good fit for the Automotive Service Technician role, you will have:
- 2 or more years' experience as an automotive technician.
- General mechanical skills, manual dexterity, and ability to operate power and hand tools, and other types of machinery.
- Knowledge of the automotive repair life cycle.
- Attention to detail with organization and follow-up skills.
- Your own set of tools.
- Valid in-state driver's license, and acceptable, safe driving record.
- The ability to operate manual transmission is a plus.
Job Duties Include:
As an Automotive Technician, you'll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with factory standards. Your attention to detail will make you an asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time and deliver top-notch work to our customers. In this role, you'll interact daily with other staff including service advisors, other technicians, parts associates, and managers.
Daily responsibilities may include:
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with factory standards.
- Communicating with service advisors regularly to effectively manage production.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair.
- Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of vehicles.
- Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
