Fire Protection Designer (Entry to Sr. Level)

Schedule: Full time, hybrid (on site in Exton with remote flexibility)
Compensation: $70,000 - $120,000 Per Year
This is an opportunity to join an employee owned fire protection company serving both local and national commercial clients. The company is looking to grow its design team and is open to candidates ranging from recent engineering graduates to experienced fire protection designers.
What You'll Do
This role involves designing commercial fire alarm and fire suppression systems using AutoCAD, with additional exposure to Revit or BIM based workflows. The designer will work on drawings and layouts for commercial projects, and may also support site surveys and assist with customer proposals as needed. The company structures responsibilities around each employee's background, so day to day duties may vary depending on whether a candidate comes from a fire alarm design, fire suppression design, or mechanical or electrical engineering background. There is a path to grow into a leadership role for designers interested in taking that on.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in fire protection design
Ability to work on site in Exton, PA with occasional remote flexibility
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in commercial fire alarm design, fire suppression design, or fire protection design
Experience with Revit or BIM
NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems or Fire Sprinkler Systems
Familiarity with NFPA code requirements
Experience supporting site surveys or customer facing proposals
