Roofing Estimator at The Imperial Company, Restoration Contractor Inc. is a full-time, on-site role located in Cromwell, CT. The role includes performing detailed project evaluations, preparing cost estimates, collaborating with clients to define project requirements, and managing bids for roofing projects. Responsibilities include analyzing blueprints, visiting job sites, conducting quantity take-offs, preparing budgets, and providing support to project management teams. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy in cost calculations and contribute to delivering efficient roofing solutions to our clients. Benefits will be discussed at time of interview.
Duties
· Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects.
· Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
· Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for cost analysis.
· Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
· Prepare and present detailed reports on estimated costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
· Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing information and negotiate contracts.
· Assist in the development of bid proposals and participate in pre-bid meetings.
- Proficiency in Edge Estimating software and budgeting for projects
- Strong Communication skills, including collaboration with clients and team members
- Comprehensive knowledge of all commercial roof systems, from new construction to re-roofs
- Project Management skills, including organization and time management ability to interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance practices
- 5 years of experience in commercial roofing or construction estimating is an advantage
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
