Duties
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels across multiple performing arts disciplines such as ballet, theater, dance, and music.
- Lead engaging classes that promote technical skills, creativity, teamwork, and self-confidence.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a supportive environment for all students.
- Incorporate curriculum development strategies to enhance learning experiences and artistic growth.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their techniques and performance skills.
- Organize performances, showcases, or recitals to give students opportunities to demonstrate their talents.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or other educators to support student progress and address individual needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching performing arts such as hip hop, dancing, or music with classroom management skills.
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for diverse age groups including early childhood education and preschool experience.
- Ability to work effectively with children, teens, and adults in both educational and recreational settings.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and special education practices is preferred.
- Additional skills in photography, sewing, culinary arts (cooking), childcare, or theater are considered valuable assets.
