Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Instructor (Contemporary) to inspire students of all ages through the art of movement. In this dynamic role, you will design engaging dance curricula, lead classes that foster creativity and confidence, and cultivate a positive learning environment. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive dance lesson plans tailored to various skill levels and age groups, incorporating elements of choreography, technique, and performance skills
- Lead engaging dance classes that motivate students, promote teamwork, and encourage artistic expression
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental needs, especially when working with children or youth programs
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and celebrate their achievements to boost confidence
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dance instruction, choreography, or performing arts education
- Strong classroom management skills combined with experience working with children or youth programs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students of varying skill levels and backgrounds
