Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a full-time capacity. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs, including filter replacements, ductwork adjustments, and troubleshooting thermostats to ensure optimal climate control.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and facilities maintenance projects.
- Maintain facilities equipment by repairing or replacing components such as motors, pumps, valves, and electrical panels.
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Document maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports; interpret schematics for complex repairs.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during larger repair projects or installations when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from building occupants or management.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated systems is preferred.
- Skilled in welding techniques and the use of hand tools for various repair tasks.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment repair including circuit breakers, wiring, switches, and electrical panels.
- Experience reading schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Ability to perform residential painting and maintenance painting to uphold building aesthetics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in plumbing system maintenance and repair.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with contractors on complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork.
- Maintenance experience in hotels is preferred
