This position is responsible for providing effective instruction for assigned courses. Openings for these positions may or may not be available at this time; however, after a review of qualifications, applicants may be contacted in the future. Adjunct faculty positions provide quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis, primarily in an online capacity.

Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner
Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance
Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour
Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
Grades and returns student work in a timely manner
Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course
Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course
Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching
Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate
Remains up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technology
Attends professional development opportunities when possible

Requirements
ABA certified Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and an active North Carolina law license which shall be maintained throughout employment at WTCC
License to practice law in the State of North Carolina
Preferences
Two years experience practicing law in North Carolina
Teaching experience
Attorneys who have practiced property law/real estate transaction law in North Carolina or Residential and commercial transactional experience
Supervised paralegals
