Social Media Content Creator & Videographer

About the Role
We are looking for a creative, motivated Social Media Content Creator & Videographer to help build and manage content across multiple social media platforms.
This is NOT a traditional desk-based social media manager position.
We need someone who can come out and film, develop content ideas, edit videos, and help turn everyday moments into engaging social media content.
A large portion of the content will revolve around automotive, business, entrepreneurship, and lifestyle content.
You may be filming car builds, driving content, behind-the-scenes business operations, job sites, day-in-the-life content, new purchases, projects, conversations, and other spontaneous moments.
The right person should be able to look at what’s happening and think:
“There’s a video here.”
What You’ll Be Doing
- Film short-form and long-form video content
- Edit Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts
- Help develop YouTube content
- Capture automotive content including builds, driving footage and behind-the-scenes footage
- Capture business and entrepreneurship content
- Create day-in-the-life and lifestyle content
- Develop hooks and video concepts
- Turn raw footage into engaging stories
- Add captions, music, graphics and transitions when appropriate
- Organize and manage recorded content
- Help maintain a consistent posting schedule
- Identify trends and content opportunities
- Review content performance and identify what’s working
- Occasionally photograph vehicles, projects and events
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely interested in content creation.
You do NOT need a huge following or years of agency experience.
We care much more about your creativity, editing ability, reliability and portfolio.
You should:
- Know how to shoot quality video
- Be comfortable filming with cameras and/or modern smartphones
- Understand TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Understand hooks, pacing and viewer retention
- Know how to edit short-form video
- Have a good eye for interesting shots
- Be comfortable around cars and businesses
- Be able to work independently
- Bring content ideas instead of waiting to be told exactly what to film
- Be dependable and available for in-person shoots around Central Ohio
Experience with automotive content is a major plus.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or similar editing software is also a plus.
The Type of Person We’re Looking For
We don’t want someone who only schedules posts and writes captions.
We’re looking for someone who wants to create.
You should be the person who sees a car being unloaded, a new project starting, something crazy happening during the day, or an interesting business situation and immediately thinks about how it could become a Reel, TikTok or YouTube video.
We’re looking for someone who can eventually learn the personality, businesses and projects well enough to recognize content opportunities without constantly being directed.

Compensation
Compensation will depend on experience, portfolio and availability.
We are open to starting part-time with the opportunity for the position to grow substantially as the content platforms grow.
Performance-based bonuses may also be available based on social media growth and content performance.

We’re looking for someone creative who wants the opportunity to help build something from the ground up and produce content people actually want to watch.
Pay: From $2,500.00 per month
