Job Title: Sous Chef
Country Place is a high volume restaurant and tavern in Perkasie. We are looking for an experienced full time sous chef. The ideal candidate should have experience working all stations on the line. $60-$65/year depending on experience. Paid vacation after one year.
Duties:
- Work in tandem with the kitchen manager to ensure kitchen is running smoothly and staff is being managed.
- Prepare the basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes.
- Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
- Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
- Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
- Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day.
- High level of professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in a stressful environment.
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
