Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Associate Project Manager to support engineering and facility-related projects in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both coordinating projects and actively contributing to execution.
You will work closely with design engineers and senior project leadership to help deliver projects involving laboratory spaces, technical systems, and regulated environments. Over time, you will take ownership of smaller projects with mentorship and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of engineering and facility-related projects.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor communication, purchasing, and tracking.
- Manage logistics, including shipping/receiving and handling of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
- Support laboratory setup, equipment coordination, and facility readiness.
- Assist with OSHA compliance and safe work practices as new hazards are introduced to various projects.
- Track project progress and help resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain organized documentation and project records.
- Participate in meetings and communicate updates across teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Fundamental understanding of chemical hazards
- Strong organizational and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate technically with design engineers
- Willingness to be hands-on and learn new areas (facilities, safety, logistics, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–5 years of experience in project coordination, engineering support, operations, or similar role
- Experience with hazardous chemicals and laboratory settings
- Familiarity with procurement, supply chain, or vendor coordination
- Exposure to OSHA regulations or workplace safety practices
Pay: $75,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
