Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in Ford vehicles.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilize schematics and wiring diagrams to interpret automotive electrical systems and ensure precise repairs.
- Repair diesel engines and automotive engines with attention to detail, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
- Execute wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance procedures, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to enhance vehicle safety features.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely to complete repairs efficiently.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines for vehicle service procedures while maintaining a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience as an auto technician or mechanic with a strong background in Ford or GM vehicles preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive engine systems, electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, heavy lifting techniques, welding, and alignment procedures.
- Proficiency in automotive electrical systems repair, mechanical repair, powertrain servicing, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to interpret complex schematics and wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring manual dexterity.
