$75,000 - $95,000
The Timing Device Technician is a unique position. Traveling throughout the United States up to 120 days a year, the Timing Device Technician installs and de-installs large, branded timing devices at sporting events. Additionally, the Timing Device Technician may install signage. This role requires physical strength and dexterity in addition to the ability to repair mechanical/electrical devices on-site, real-time at events’ spaces/venues. Many events are outside. Therefore, a successful Timing Device Technician must be willing to work in a variety of weather conditions. A successful candidate must be highly organized and self-motivated in addition to having the ability to represent the brand to clients, business partners, and the public. Although this role may require solitary time at events, strong team work, collaboration and communication skills will be essential to success.
Ensures the successful installation and functionality of all company timing/watch devices at company events.
Ensures the on-going successful maintenance, storage, repair and shipping of company timing/watch devices.
Ensures the successful installation of company signage at company events.
MAY PERFORM SOME BUT NOT ALL OF THE TASKS BELOW
Installing, maintaining and dismantling on-site clocks at assigned events Installing signage and other branding as needed at assigned events Working closely with event contacts to ensure seamless on-site activation Providing detailed pre- and post communication with vendors and event staff Coordinating the shipping & receiving of event clocks and materials
Drafting and organizing paperwork for shipments
Organizing warehouse including clocks, signage and spare parts Ensuring all clocks are cleaned and working properly at all times
Preforming electrical maintained and troubleshooting on-site and in the warehouse when necessary
Assisting with repair and upkeep of Jeweler clocks Assisting with new clock installs
Preparing post-event reports
