Athens Behavioral Medicine is looking for a full time medical assistant to work in an fast-paced mental health office setting. An ideal candidate has a strong interest in mental health, a desire to learn, and a passion for providing excellent patient care in a collaborative, team-focused environment. Both experienced and newer medical assistants are welcome to apply to this position. We are a rapidly growing office and are looking for a medical assistant that is interested in utilizing the latest research, technology, and practice guidelines in an effort to achieve wellness for our patients.
A Medical Assistant (Non-Phlebotomy) supports healthcare providers with administrative and basic clinical tasks, while also assisting with specialized neurodiagnostic and treatment programs. On-site training is provided for all required skills, including QEEG and TMS support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams (vitals, medical history, rooming)
- Assist providers during routine, non-invasive procedures
- Administer medications or injections as permitted (excluding blood draws)
- Support QEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalography) setup and monitoring (training provided)
- Assist with TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatment sessions under supervision (training provided)
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Handle phone calls, referrals, and insurance documentation
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms
- Educate patients on basic care instructions
MA experience is required.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
