About this job
***PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, If you can't read, need not apply***
We are tired of babysitting people who think “handyman” means ordering parts, watching YouTube and using more tissues than Bandaids! We want a no-nonsense fixer who shows up with a toolbox, not excuses, doesn't pout and is a man of men! If you take pride in doing work that doesn’t wobble, leak, spark at midnight or fall apart during a subtle breeze, keep reading.
What you’ll actually do
- Fix the stuff everyone else left for later: carpentry, basic plumbing, minor electrical, construction triage, paint that covers sins, appliance installs, and attic/basement/roofing archeology.
- Diagnose problems fast, pick the right solution, and execute without reinventing the wheel.
- Patch, caulk, shim, level, and make things quiet again — repeatedly, under deadlines, and without melodrama and dripping tears.
- Keep accurate records, call for help when something’s legitimately above your paygrade, and leave sites cleaner than you found them.
- Mow the lawn, cut the trees, deliver the goods and bring the beauty back to the pageant
What we expect (no fluff)
- Real hands-on experience. If your resume reads like a hobby blog, don’t bother.
- A reliable toolbox, ability to pull a trailer and a driver’s license you actually use.
- Ability to lift, climb ladders, and operate power tools without needing a safe hug afterward.
- Punctuality, clear communication with clients and teammates, and the sense to stop before you make it worse.
- Basic trade knowledge: measuring, cutting, fastening, basic wiring and plumbing fixes — plus the courage to own your work.
- Embraces the fact that we know more than you do, but on the off chance we don't, we are willing listening partner
- Respect, integrity, hard work, high character, honesty and god-loving individual
Bonus if you
- Can weld, operate heavy equipment, or can perform without blueprints, instructions, frowning or squinting, we are saying there might be a chance.
- Bring trade certs, stellar references, or a war story about a job you pulled off against impossible odds.
What we don’t want
- Keyboard mechanics who learned everything from TikTok.
- Perpetual “learners” who need constant hand-holding.
- People allergic to grit, responsibility, or doing things the right way.
- Clock-suckers and clock-watchers
- Cryers, liars, whiners and titty babies
Compensation & logistics
- Competitive pay based on skill and experience.
- Full-time hours, occasional emergency calls, and the satisfaction of fixing what others broke.
- Bring a resume and one short sentence describing the toughest repair you actually completed — bonus points if you include a photo.
Key Competencies
- If you can make chaos behave and don’t need participation trophies, apply.
- If you prefer counseling over caulking, swipe left.
- Come ready to build, repair, and occasionally perform miracles. Come unready and you’ll be our cautionary tale.
- If you need a participation ribbon for a solid repair, this job will disappoint you.
- This job rewards results, not excuses. If you’re fluent in excuses, please translate them elsewhere.
- Fix things. Be dependable. Stop telling stories about how you almost fixed them.
- If you love the smell of dust and victory, you’ll fit right in. If you prefer scented candles, don’t apply.
- If you think Nissan and Toyota make trucks or you think you can operate a board stretcher, you probably need to consider a change in professions.
- If my kids outwork you, tuck your tail between your legs and drag your ass out of here.
