Job Title: Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier
Job Location: Roseville, CA 95661
Job Type: Contract
Job Duties:
- Prepare and submit pharmacy claims to insurance providers.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Follow up on claim denials and take corrective action.
- Work with insurance payers to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Assist patients with billing-related questions and issues.
- Coordinate with internal pharmacy/healthcare teams to resolve billing problems.
- Ensure claims are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
- Help minimize claim denials and improve reimbursement rates.
- Perform cashier-related duties and maintain billing/payment accuracy.
Job Requirements:
- Healthcare billing and cashier experience
- 2-5 years of experience withpharmacy billing and terminology
- Familiarity with NCPDP, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- 5 years of relevant experience preferred
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Associate/Technical degree preferred
- Retail Pharmacy Billing Certificate (RPBC) preferred
- Retail pharmacy billing training preferred
- Experience in preparing and submitting pharmacy claims to insurance providers.
Schedule:
- 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- 5 Days per week
- Monday - Friday
- 40 Hours per week
