The Safety Specialist develops, implements, and monitors workplace safety programs to reduce risks, prevent injuries, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety standards. This role partners with employees and leadership to identify hazards, conduct training, investigate incidents, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and risk assessments

Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions

Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety requirements

Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses

Prepare incident reports and recommend prevention strategies

Conduct employee safety training and orientations

Maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reports

Monitor personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and safety practices

Assist with emergency response planning and drills

Support workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes

Analyze safety data and trends to improve workplace performance

Collaborate with HR and operations teams on employee safety initiatives
