We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, and HVAC system servicing.
- Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to meet specific repair requirements.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on farm machinery, industrial equipment, or heavy trucks.
- Perform vehicle inspections to identify potential issues proactively and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts after repairs to ensure proper function before returning units to service.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics with a strong understanding of diesel engine repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical system repair for trucks and industrial machinery.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom modifications or repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension components, and vehicle alignment procedures.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely.
- Mechanical knowledge of farm machinery, heavy trucks, powertrains (transmissions), HVAC systems, shocks & struts, tires & wheel services.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance tasks including tire service, brake repair, suspension work, and general assembly.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to perform precise repairs.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions while maintaining safety standards.
