Job Description
Cole Construction, Inc. seeks a skilled Project Estimator to join our team. Cole Construction, Inc. is a General Contracting company that specializes in municipal work, including parks and recreation projects, drainage improvement projects, street pavement construction, heavy civil construction, landscape and irrigation construction, and concrete construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating and demonstrate a strong ability to negotiate contracts with subcontractors and control costs effectively.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue new bid opportunities for General Contracting work in the public and private sectors
- Obtain bids from suppliers and subcontractors by specifying materials and identifying qualified subcontractors.
- Provide complete and accurate quantity take-offs.
- Prepare a cost analysis for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Provide complete estimates in the client’s custom proposal forms.
- Attend bid openings and pre-construction meetings.
- The position requires close communication with internal operations.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff, Bid2Win, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook is preferred but not required.
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related construction degree is preferred but not required.
- 3 years of construction estimating required
- Multitasking skills are required to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Computer Skills required.
- No travel (position based in Fort Worth, Texas), but the candidate will need to attend project pre-bid and bid opening.
- Adhere to company policies and comply with federal and state legislation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
